Yes, you can do business as a self-employed person and be employed at the same time. In this case, it is considered secondary activity and you pay lower contributions to social and health insurance. You don't need to inform your employer about the trade unless it is specified in your employment contract.
You cancel the trade by filing a notice of cessation of activity at the trade office. Subsequently, you need to deregister from the health insurance company and social security administration and submit a tax return. We'll be happy to help you with ending the trade as well.
